Fourth Generation Sailmakers
Sails can be categorized into a number of areas, the true traditional sail would be one made with canvas and all seams and finish work done by hand.
Today sail makers seam in the spirit of tradition, using materials created to look like canvas, on industrial sewing machines and finished with traditional handwork.
Today’s preferred cloth is Dacron which is available in a variety of colours - white, classic cream and tanbark being the most three popular choices.
Performance sails are made of various modern materials and designs.
When you bring your sails to our loft, we provide various levels of service from a general assessment,
to measuring, repairs or total replacement.
(All levels of service have costs associated with them.)
